Mets Throw Away Game in the 11th

0

What a crazy game!  When Vin Scully said in the bottom of the 11th that a bases loaded walk would be a fitting way for such a bizarre game to end, I was thinking, no, a fifth error would be a fitting way for this game to end.  Apparently Jeremy Reed was also thinking the same thing when he took what would normally be considered a routine grounder to first base and managed to completely miss the catcher by a mile and allowing Loretta to jog across home plate.

And that wasn’t even the craziest play of the night!  How often does a base runner completely miss third base?  Not that often, but Ryan Church still did.

It just goes to show, limit your errors, play good defense, pitch well and have “celebrity” A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) throw out the first pitch and you too can win a baseball game!
