Live From The Dodger Stadium Pressbox Tonight- dodgerfan.net!
UPDATE: Yup, we’re live from the Dodgers press box tonight, so feel free to share any questions, or just read along as we bring you the news straight from Chavez Ravine. Soon to come: pre-game comments on the Angels and X. Paul, as well as pictures from batting practice.
Chris asked me to let you all know that he will be credentialed for tonight’s game and blogging LIVE from the pressbox. More to come on this unprecedented move by the Dodgers organization in a separate post.
In the meantime, feel free to post questions, comments, and other thoughts!
Chris,
I hope you have a great time tonight. I’m looking forward to your insights!
I’m really nervous about tomorrow, but also extremely excited.
All the best,
Eric
Eric, it’s awesome here. Way too much to take in on the first trip, that’s for sure. So far I’ve hung out in the dugout, listened to Torre and Scioscia talk about the game and popped in the clubhouse. You’re going to love it!
Hey Chris, what is the tenor of the press box? Can you post some thoughts? Also, did you dine with Dave? What was on the menu?
It’s fantastic up here. Have a seat in the front row. Other media have been very welcoming. Had a great talk with Dylan Hernandez from the L.A. Times down on the field before the game. I am finding it very hard to not cheer…odd because I never felt that I was one to clap or yell very much before!
Alex, to answer your question, it’s Dodger food vendors Gordon Biersch and Canter’s Deli are showcasing some of their famed eats to the media (corned beef and sausages, respectively). I saw Dave and wanted to give him a high five, but resisted.
Chris,
One of my readers had to know…garlic fries too?
[mouth watering]
Eric
what about Marzen? I realize they don’t allow drinking in the press box, but what about a sip inside dave’s to complement the food?
Who’s sitting next to you, Chris?
Yes, Eric! arlic fries (but they were cold and hard not very good).
Orel, sitting next to me is some big guy who talks on his phone all the time.
Hopefully the guy next to you is speaking on his phone in a low and respectful tone.
It’s loud here! People could talk on their phone down the row and I’d never know. I did see some cheering while a couple guys watched the basketball game. They got some disapproving looks back from the veteran writers .
Love it.
The Angels are something like 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position. Looks like the Dodgers luck in this area is continuing from the series with the Mets…
…who beat the Red Sox today.
