Blake DeWitt Named NL Rookie of the Month!

2

Yeah, baby!!!  I simply love the way this kid plays, and he’s admirably filled the black hole that has been third base with some remarkable defensive plays while turning in a solid offensive performance all season long.  A hearty congratulations, Blake, from your friends at DodgerFan!

From the official press release:

In 26 games in May, the 22-year-old DeWitt batted .322 with five home runs and 18 RBI. The left-handed hitter went 28-for-87, scored 14 runs, hit two doubles, drew eight walks and posted a slugging percentage of .517 and an on-base percentage of .379.

I have been watching Blake play ball since he was in the 9th
grade. He will be a power hitter
    in the future.
    I’ll bet you my house…

AT LEAST SOMEONE ON THIS TEAM DOESN’T SUCK.
